Meet Your Inspector, Jon

I got my start in construction at 16, sweeping up job sites and hauling lumber. Pretty soon I was swinging a hammer as a carpenter, and before long I was running crews as a foreman. Over the better part of a decade, I helped build dozens of custom homes around the Bay Area and Sacramento, learning every trade along the way—framing, drywall, flooring, windows, doors, you name it.

After years in the field, I moved into sales, focusing on HVAC, roofing, siding, insulation, and all the big-ticket systems that keep a home running. That gave me a whole new perspective—how to balance the technical side with helping families make smart choices about their homes.

Outside of work, I’m a veteran, a former volunteer fireman, and these days a husband and dad of three. I coach my daughters’ softball team, which means I’m usually juggling gear bags and snacks while cheering way too loud from the dugout.

Starting Valley Oak Property Inspections was my way of pulling it all together—experience, service, and family values—so I can give every client the kind of honest inspection I’d want for my own home.
